Account & Subscription
Account Access & Subscription Updates
Check your original account and current configuration first. Switching devices, getting the client, and updating routes usually don’t require a new subscription.
Do I need an email address to create an account? How should I save my account details?
No email address is required. You can create an account with a username and password. Choose a strong password and save both details in a trusted password manager. Before signing out, make sure your credentials are saved so you can still access your account from another browser. Check subscriptions and orders in the original account; don’t purchase again just because you can’t log in temporarily. If you have trouble signing in, check your keyboard input, capitalization, and autofill to make sure they haven’t selected the wrong account. If the issue persists, contact support through the ticket portal in your user dashboard.
How do I update my subscription link? Do I need to import it again?
Usually, update your existing subscription rather than deleting the configuration. Open the subscription or configuration page in your client, find the imported QiuVPN subscription, and run an update. Then check the route list to confirm the result. If the update fails, make sure your local network is working and your account subscription is active, then check the current subscription link in your user dashboard. Re-import only if the original link has changed or the configuration is no longer valid. Your subscription link is a personal access credential. Don’t post it in public forums or share screenshots that show the full link.
Do I need to buy another subscription when I change devices? Can I connect multiple devices at once?
You don’t need to buy another copy of the same subscription when switching devices, and QiuVPN has no limit on the number of devices connected at the same time. Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux are supported. Sign in to your existing account on the new device, get the appropriate client and subscription from your user dashboard, and follow the device instructions to set it up. Keep an eye on your plan’s data allowance when using multiple devices: unlimited devices does not mean unlimited data. If you no longer use an old device, disconnect it and remove any saved subscription configuration. Don’t share your account or subscription link publicly or with strangers.
Where can I get the client? How can I check that the configuration is working after importing it?
Find the client on the downloads page in your user dashboard, and get your subscription from your own account. Choose the client for your operating system, then follow the on-page instructions to install it, import the configuration, and grant any network permissions requested by your system. Importing a configuration doesn’t connect you automatically. Check which configuration is enabled, the proxy mode, and the selected route. First, open a regular webpage to confirm your local connection is working, then visit the international site you want to use. If only one service is inaccessible, check its region and app routing rules instead of reinstalling the client straight away.
What does anonymous, no-logs mean? What other information should I protect?
“Anonymous, no-logs” describes QiuVPN’s privacy policy. Read the privacy policy for details, and don’t take this to mean that websites can never identify visitors. A website may still use your account details, browser information, or its own rules to determine what content to show. Keep your account password and subscription link secure, and hide personal credentials in screenshots before submitting a support request. Network privacy and website account security are separate matters. If you see an unfamiliar sign-in prompt, check the status of your account with that service rather than relying only on switching routes.
Connection & Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot by connection issue
Check your local network first, then your subscription and client. Keep error messages and change one setting at a time.
What should I check first if I can’t connect at all?
Pause the proxy first and check that your local network can open regular webpages. If your local connection itself isn’t working, resolve that first. Then check your subscription status and remaining data in your user dashboard, update the subscription in your client, and test a route in another region or category. Make sure your system has granted the required network permissions, and pause other proxy tools that might take over network traffic and cause conflicts. Change one thing at a time and note whether all routes fail or only one. This makes it easier to pinpoint the issue than repeatedly reinstalling the client.
The client says it’s connected. Why won’t webpages load?
A connected status only means the client has established a connection; it doesn’t guarantee that webpage requests are following the right rules. Compare how regular webpages and the site you’re trying to reach behave. Then check whether the system proxy is enabled, which configuration is active, and whether your browser has a separate proxy extension. If the site still won’t load after switching routes, restart the browser to clear any old connections. If you see a domain resolution error, check the client’s DNS settings and look for conflicts with other network tools. Avoid changing several network settings at once, or it will be hard to tell what fixed the issue.
Why does my browser work, but an app won’t use the proxy?
Different apps may use different network paths, so browser access doesn’t mean every app is using the proxy. Check whether the client is in rule mode and whether the target app’s domain is assigned to the expected route. Some apps don’t follow the system proxy. Check your client’s instructions to see whether you need to enable a network takeover mode and grant the required system permissions. Fully close and reopen the app after making changes. If it reports an account or region issue, check the app’s own requirements: a working network connection doesn’t grant account eligibility.
How can I troubleshoot a mobile connection that drops when the app is in the background?
First, note whether the disconnection consistently happens after locking the screen, switching apps, or changing networks. Then check your system’s background activity and battery settings for the client. If background activity is restricted, adjust the relevant permissions according to your device instructions and confirm that network access is still allowed. Switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data can also interrupt an existing connection; reconnect in the client and test again. Distinguish between the client closing, the connection dropping, and the target app failing to load. When you submit a support ticket, include what triggered the issue and any system messages to help reproduce it.
My subscription update keeps failing. What information should I prepare before submitting a ticket?
First, confirm that your regular internet connection works and check your subscription status in the user dashboard. Then make sure the client isn’t using an old configuration and that your system date and time are correct. If the update still fails, note your platform, client name, error message, when the issue occurred, and what you’ve already tried. Submit a ticket through your user dashboard and specify whether the update or the import failed instead of simply saying it doesn’t work. Hide your password, full subscription link, and other access credentials in screenshots and logs. Don’t post your personal configuration publicly to make troubleshooting easier.
Speed & Routes
Compare routes by use caseroutes
The region determines what you can access; the route affects connection performance. Compare on the same device and service for useful results.
If my connection slows down during peak hours, should I switch regions or route types first?
Keep the region required by the service you want to use, then compare the route types available in that region. This makes it easier to separate network issues from changes in region. Before testing, pause large downloads on other devices, check whether regular browsing and video playback are both affected, and then try other routes. If only one service is slow, the issue may be with its servers or content delivery. QiuVPN offers 110+ countries / 150+ routes for comparison by use case, but broad coverage doesn’t mean every route performs the same at all times.
How should I choose between IEPL, relay, and direct routes?
Start by identifying what you need to access and the region it requires, then compare the routes available in your client. IEPL, relay, and direct routes use different connection paths. Their names alone don’t tell you how they’ll perform, and no type is always faster. If you use AI tools regularly, check whether sessions remain stable. For video, look at buffering and playback continuity. Compare routes on the same device and network, using the same service, for meaningful results. For more details on route types and choosing a region, see the global routes page.
Why does a streaming service still say a region is unavailable after I switch routes?
First, check that the route’s exit region is within the service’s supported areas. Then check your account region, content licensing, and the platform’s message. A working route doesn’t mean every account can access every regional library. After switching, fully close and reopen the player or browser to avoid using an old session. If regular webpages work but one platform doesn’t, note the platform, selected region, and exact error message, then compare other suitable routes. Don’t confuse reduced video quality with regional restrictions; troubleshoot them separately.
An AI tool’s website loads, but responses stop or features don’t work. What should I do?
First, distinguish a network interruption from an account restriction imposed by the tool. If the site loads but requests keep failing, keep the target region unchanged, compare other routes, and check whether the client automatically switches exit regions during use. If the tool reports a region, account access, or usage limit issue, check its own guidance; a network service can’t grant eligibility to use it. Keep the session and exit region consistent while troubleshooting, and avoid switching regions frequently. When submitting a support request, specify whether the problem occurs while loading the page, signing in, or generating a response to help identify the cause.
How should I troubleshoot frequent disconnections versus occasional slow loading?
For frequent disconnections, first check whether the client’s connection status actually changes. For occasional slow loading, compare how different websites and apps behave. If everything disconnects after a network switch, check your local connection and system background restrictions first. If the client stays connected but only one site loads slowly, compare routes and check the target service. Note when the issue occurs, what you were doing, and whether you can restore the connection manually. Don’t assume a route has failed based on a single slow page load. Reproduce the issue under the same conditions to choose the right next steps.
Billing & Refunds
Pricing, data & refunds
Monthly subscription data resets on your activation date; data add-ons last until used. Check payments and refunds in your original account.
How much is a monthly subscription, and when does the data allowance reset?
Monthly subscriptions cost ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the date you activate your subscription, not on the first day of each calendar month. When choosing a plan, consider how much data you actually use for everyday browsing, video, and multiple devices, then check the allowance and billing period shown in your user dashboard. Unlimited devices doesn’t mean unlimited data, so keep an eye on your plan balance when sharing it across devices. See the plans page to compare all options, and check your account status and order details in your user dashboard.
How are data add-ons priced, and how do they differ from monthly subscriptions?
Data add-ons cost ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. They last until used and never expire. Unlike monthly subscriptions, which reset data monthly on the activation date, add-ons may suit different usage patterns. If you use the service infrequently, consider that add-on data doesn’t expire. If you stream regularly or use it for work, compare a monthly subscription against your actual data use. Before ordering, check whether you’ve selected a monthly subscription or a data add-on. Add-on data doesn’t replenish monthly.
Which payment methods are supported? What should I do if my order status doesn’t change after payment?
Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported. Choose a payment method in the order flow in your user dashboard, and check the amount and status shown on the order. If the page doesn’t update after payment, return to your orders and check whether the order is still marked as incomplete before paying again. If the payment provider shows the payment succeeded but your order hasn’t updated, submit a ticket with the order ID, payment method, time of payment, and a redacted payment receipt. Don’t share sensitive information such as your payment account password, and don’t rely only on the browser’s return page to confirm that an order is complete.
How do I request a refund, and what information should I include?
QiuVPN offers 7-day no-questions-asked refunds. Check the Terms of Service for details on eligibility. To request a refund, sign in to the account used to place the order, explain your request through the ticket portal in your user dashboard, and include the order ID so it can be verified. You don’t need to troubleshoot an issue before requesting a no-questions-asked refund. If you also want help with a connection problem, include the error message and platform. Check the original ticket for updates, and don’t share payment receipts or account information publicly. Refund status is based on the messages and order records in your account.
How is a mid-term plan upgrade calculated? Does changing devices affect billing?
The price difference for a mid-term upgrade is converted into remaining days. Before proceeding, check the upgrade details shown in your user dashboard; don’t calculate them yourself based on calendar months or fixed dates. If anything is unclear, ask through a support ticket and keep your original order details before deciding whether to continue. Changing devices doesn’t require another purchase, and QiuVPN has no limit on the number of devices connected at once, but changing how you use the service or adding devices may affect your data usage. Monthly subscriptions and data add-ons have different billing rules, so the upgrade details aren’t a universal conversion formula for every plan.
